Tired of frequently replacing frayed phone chargers? Here’s a crafty solution to reinforce that vulnerable spot. Begin by extracting the spring from a pen. Adjust one end of the spring slightly so it can wrap around the charger cable, possibly with the aid of pliers. Coil the spring onto the cable securely.
Then, slide a piece of heat shrink tubing over the spring-enveloped section of the charger. Gently heat it using a lighter until the tubing snugly fits around the charger and spring. This nifty trick not only prevents future wear and tear but can also salvage already damaged cords.
